New feature: Rose Petals, an article in which I talk about Portland's Rose Festival.

BIG thanks to Jenn for supplying some of the photos, and to GG for not laughing at me when I said I wanted to go to a kiddie parade. ;)

awww, and my mom informed me the other day that YES, i have indeed been to the junior rose festival parade thingy. i always thought i hadn't. whatever! i don't remember it, but it sure looks cute. i wish i were little again. and i used to love the queens coronation but OMGWTF this year they announced it right before the rose parade?? ARE YOU SERIOUS? that's what i heard anyway. LAME ON A STICK.

Ooh what year did you go? jk Maybe you saw me! I'm sure you'd totally remember one kid out of 10,000... haha yeah right.

And yes, they announced the queen right before. EVERYONE I've talked to was upset about that, so I imagine they'll do things RIGHT next year. :/

The medallion was never hidden anywhere near Oregon City until 2004. And when it was hidden there, it wasn't in a park. It was on the CCC campus. I participated for 20 years. I saved the clues and the "found" articles. I put on my own treasure hunts now.

Really? Hmm. Well, I was 11 when we did the hunt, so I'm probably mixing things up. I think the park we were at was McIver Park. I guess that's not Oregon City, is it? Ah, Google says Estacada. Whoops! Was there ever one found in Estacada or at McIver? Either way, I'll have to fix the article. Thanks!
