Tis the season for TV-Movie sequels
Last time I reviewed The Parent Trap 2, now I bring you Home Alone 4, just in time for the holidays! And if that doesn't quench your appetite for bad holiday-themed TV-movies, be sure to check out the archives (December 2005), where you can read all about the Olsen Twins' Christmas movie! Which of the two is more cringe-inducing? I leave that up for debate.

I love it when you compare movies! I actually think this Buzz looks like a decent match -- yeah, he's grown his hair out a bit and gotten somewhat younger, but, as you've noted, age continuity was never these films' strong point. His features look similar enough, though.

At least in that photo, Marv's girlfriend with the eyebrows looks kind of like she could have a second personality capable of mauling people like an animal and ripping them in half. That might've made for a much better movie, no? ;)

And that wasn't even the scariest picture of her, but I couldn't bear to cap any more. I looked her up on imdb and she is somewhat pretty, but in this movie she did these facial contortions had had this grating new york accent. After her first scene I honestly had to turn away from the TV whenever they did closeups of her... she was that frightening. Gawd it was horrible.

Oh, also, the thing with Buzz... in the first two movies he was this large presence, this big bully. In HA4 he's this pipsqueak barely taller than Kevin and in no way I was convinced he could be a true threat to a kid who took on two grown burglars.... twice.
