Death by overkill
There are probably only two people on the planet who will appreciate this, but I had to do it. I have reviewed the 1996 Family Film Awards. It was quite healing, actually. I no longer want to take down Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Okay, maybe I still do. Maybe this review did nothing to squelch the rage. Oh well, I tried.

Family Values -- the true & horrific tale of an awards show gone wrong

Did you at least cry and yell FIXED! as much as I did:)

I still can't believe you kept them. I do recall now as soon as the hoax was in I stopped and taped over with something...good.

I should copy The Movie Awards for you. Mac Culkin standing on a box was too damn funny.

And you know, Molly's happiness died along with her mother...but look she found the yellow brick road.

Ha, back then I never taped over anything. Who knew if a commercial break would hold a promo for a TV show I might start loving that fall, or something equally important? Which is why I now own 2398283916 VHS tapes and can no longer find my bed.

Okay, that was funny. Mostly because of the text itself, but partly because I imagined you freaking out every time "Lois & Clark" was robbed. By the way, was that mention of a howling eleven-fingered stray a reference to something? That made me laugh out loud and I don't know why.

Also, I found it interesting that you'd never heard of The Canterville Ghost. It's not a terrific movie by any means (and it seems like ol' Captain Picard had to leave before the end was filmed, as the titular character doesn't appear at all in the film's conclusion), but it does seem like something you'd enjoy. If you don't get around to watching it, maybe I'll review it in your honor someday. :)

The stray girl wasn't a reference to anything... that I'm consciously aware of, anyway. I say weird things sometimes.

So about this Canterville Ghost, I think they said it was a cable TV movie which would explain why I didn't see it back then, and probably why I've never seen it to this day. Is it on DVD or anything? I am always open to viewing new things.

Yep, it's on DVD -- I pulled my copy out of the $5.50 bin at Walmart. That's about as much as anyone should pay for it, too.
